Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Subject Matter Expert (SME) with writing experience to join our transformation project team. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of writing experience, with at least 1 year of experience in the banking domain. This role requires someone who is willing to work in the UAE location and has experience working in an agile environment. The SME will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide expertise and support in documentation and writing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating business requirement documents in the form of user stories and related Agile methodologies.
• Translate functional information into clear and concise documentation that is understandable to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Assist in the development and maintenance of project documentation, ensuring alignment with project goals, requirements, and timelines.
• Review and revise documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards and guidelines.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand project objectives, deliverables, and priorities, and proactively communicate updates and progress.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to documentation management and writing practices.
• Adapt quickly to changing project requirements and priorities in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Act as a subject matter expert, research and gather information to ensure accuracy of documentation of user stories and their functions.
• Work closely with the technology delivery teams onshore/offshore to maintain regular communication with respect to user story clarification and query resolution.
• Based on though understanding of Agile methodologies, ensure sufficient backlog of user stories are always kept ready for future & upcoming sprints.
• Conduct regular reviews and revisions of documentation along with the business team and product owners to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Review test cases as required to ensure all scenarios given in the user stories are included for testing as per business requirement.
• Create end to end user journey documentation like user manuals, process documentation, and training materials of the delivered changes of every sprint.
• In depth knowledge on cash products, their channels and functionalities is an advantage.

Must Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in banking or related domains.
• 1 to 3 years of writing experience, with demonstrated proficiency in creating high-quality documentation.
• At least 1 year of experience in cash management banking domain, with knowledge of cash products, processes, functionalities, terminology, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working in an Agile environment, with an understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work in the UAE location and adapt to multicultural work environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on transformation projects or large-scale IT initiatives in the banking or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with documentation tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Confluence, and content management systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to banking documentation.
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical requirements and translate them into user-friendly documentation.
• Having technical writing skills is an added advantage.
