Job Position – Technical Support Engineer

Job Location: Riyadh or any KSA Based Candidates willing to work in Riyadh with Transferrable IQAMA.
Job Description:
L1/L2 support is provided for telecom and network systems, helping field engineers, NOC, and customers with troubleshooting issues, configuration support, and resolution of problems. The function makes sure that there is no downtime, service delivery is not interrupted, and STC, Zain, Salam, and CITC standards are followed in the Saudi telecom market.
Key Responsibilities:
– Solutions, issue trackers, and knowledge base articles will be written down.

– If necessary, complicated issues will be referred to the vendor’s TAC (Technical Assistance Center).

– SLA commitments, CITC regulations, and operator QA/QC standards will be monitored for adherence.

– Technical issues from the customer/vendor will be handled, and resolution will be tracked (with a ticketing system).

– Technical support will be granted to the telecom and IP network systems during the rollout and operation.

Required Technical Skills (Saudi Market Focus):

– Mobile & Core Networks:
– Avid learning of Core Network fundamentals (MSC, SGSN, EPC, IMS).

– Exposure the use of OSS/NMS tools (Huawei U2020, Ericsson ENM, Nokia NetAct).

Transmission & Fiber:
– Microwave link troubleshooting (Ericsson Minilink, Huawei RTN, Nokia MW).
– IP Transmission knowledge: PDH, SDH, Ethernet/IP/MPLS.
– Fiber optic basics: splicing, OTDR test interpretation, OSP/ISP fault analysis.

Networking & Tools:
– Knowledge of tools such as Wireshark, Spectrum Analyzer, Site Master, OTDR.

– Have a background in working with ticketing systems (Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, etc.). will be an advantage.

Compliance & Standards:
– Awareness of Saudi telecom regulations (CITC).
– Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).

Qualifications:
– Experienced with suppliers’ hardware (Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, ZTE). – Technical qualifications of CCNA/HCIA,ITILFoundation, vendor-area specific certifications (Huawei HCIA/HCIP, Nokia NFM,   Ericsson Certified Associate) will be an advantage.
