The Developing Child Centre

Special Needs Teacher Jobs

So, you’ve got a knack for helping kids who don’t always fit the “typical” mold? Cool, because The Developing Child Centre (TDCC) is on the hunt for a Special Needs Teacher—yep, we’re talking in-person, full-time, roll-up-your-sleeves kind of stuff—in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

What you’ll actually be doing:

Basically, you’ll be the go-to person for kids who need a little extra support (educational, behavioral, developmental—the whole nine yards). You’ll team up with parents, schools, and a bunch of other specialists. Expect to juggle IEPs, get creative with learning activities, and swap ideas with a seriously diverse crew. Every day’s a bit different, but you’re always there to help each kid find their own way to shine.

What we’re looking for:

– Got a Bachelor’s in Special Ed, General Ed, Psych, Social Work, ABA, or something kinda similar? Sweet. If you’ve got a Master’s, not gonna lie, that’s extra points.
– You’ve been in the trenches for at least 2-3 years with kids who’ve got a whole range of abilities—so you know how wild (and rewarding) things can get.
– You actually enjoy working with little humans and have a clue about disabilities, early childhood teaching, and special ed.
– You can talk to just about anyone—parents, kids, other teachers—the works.
– You know your way around developmental psychology and have a few educational tricks up your sleeve.
– IEPs don’t scare you, and you’re the master of turning plans into real action.
– Keeping things organized? Not a problem. You probably color-code your calendar, don’t you?
– Above all, you’ve got patience for days, heaps of empathy, and honestly, you just love helping kids grow.
