– Been around the SENCo block at least 5 years.
– Can rally a team, actually talk to people (not just emails), and keep things organized without losing your mind.
– You’re not just “inclusive” on paper—this stuff matters to you. Kids’ well-being isn’t just a buzzword here.

What you’ll actually be doing:

– Running the SEN department like a boss—policies, people, the whole show.
– Backing up teachers, making sure inclusion isn’t just a sticker on the wall.
– Writing up and keeping an eye on those IEPs—no letting them gather dust.
– Chatting with parents, working with outside pros—basically, the communication never stops.
