Job Position – Software Engineer (Node.js + Testing)

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Node.js + Testing) with 6+ years of experience in Node.js development and automation testing, including at least 2 years of hands-on work with TypeScript. This is a 12-month extendable contract, based onsite in Dubai, UAE, under Marc Ellis Payroll.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in JavaScript technologies, automation testing tools (Playwright, Cucumber, Appium, Selenium, or Cypress), and a proven track record in building scalable and high-performing RESTful APIs and microservices.

– First off, design, build, and keep up the big and powerful RESTful APIs along with microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.

– Also, bring in and mix the GraphQL and the 3Scale API gateway.

– Create the very secure authentication mechanisms including but not limited to OAuth, JWT, and Single Sign-On (SSO).

– Have a proper handling of task/message queues like AWS, Azure, Pushpin, Kafka, or even one more you are familiar with.

– Get to applying CI/CD and be capable of troubleshooting across distributed services while also always being highly available. – Prepare for and use containerization technologies prior to scaling up, and they are Docker and Kubernetes.

– Thirdly, automated test cases within CI/CD pipelines to assure product reliability and accelerating release cycles.

– Fourthly, keep on refining testing frameworks to keep pace with the project requirements that are changing.

– TypeScript Development (more than 2 years of hands-on experience):

– Cooperate in Agile groups and interact with developers, quality assurance engineers, and product owners in a close manner.
– Share your expertise, mentor the junior engineers, and be a part of the team’s technical skills development across the board.
– Get involved with the technology research and innovation projects aimed at enhancement of the design, testing, and deployment processes.
– Prove your good at problem-solving, analyzing, and communication skills which would result in smooth and trustable solutions being delivered.
