Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer specialized in coating and welding. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of rotating and stationary equipment, contributing significantly to our advanced energy company’s operations.

Responsibilities:

    • Provide expert technical support in coating and welding, including testing and issuing related technical reports.
    • Offer technical consultations to Shops Operating Repair Units and Contractor Shops.
    • Support field installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment.
    • Troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing equipment, focusing on cost reductions and process improvements.
    • Prepare design engineering packages for rotating equipment.
    • Conduct technical investigations for shop repair return jobs, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
    • Introduce and apply the latest technology in coating and welding methodologies.
    • Develop and revise the department’s technical procedures and standards.
    • Mentor and share knowledge with junior engineers, quality inspectors, and technicians.
    • Provide technical input for purchasing specifications and evaluate technical proposals.
    • Collaborate with department engineers, Consulting Services Department (CSD), other company departments, and manufacturers.
    • Coordinate with In-House Repair Units, Quality Assurance units, In-Kingdom Contractors, and vendors for shop repair work scopes.
    • Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.

Requirements:

  • This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Welding Engineering.
  • At least 15 years of hands-on experience in thermal coating and welding.
  • Proven experience in thermal coating, laser cladding, and welding.
  • Experience with rotating equipment in an original equipment manufacturing facility or a certified repairing facility.
  • Welding certification from AWS or an equivalent organization.
  • Excellent English reading and writing skills.
