Job Position – Senior Accountant

For a reputed Travel and Tourism company in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have strong financial knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a finance department in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee the invoicing activities; reviewing credits, payables, and receivables.

– Authorize and manage petty cash transactions while assisting the cashier.

– The payment and reconciliation of financial records including payments to the bank, deposits, and foreign currency exchanges – Maintain financial instruments, the general ledger, and routine internal controls.

– Prepare quarterly and annual reconciliations of accounts, monitor compliance in various areas, and prepare cashflow forecasting.

– Conduct cost analysis for travel packages, tours, and operations.

– Oversee the payroll and other repetitive payments.

– Work with the team to ensure that financial goals align with business plans.

Requirements:

– Residence Visa preferred.

– Education: The applicant has to have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or in a relevant field
– Experience: 3-6+ years of accounting work experience, and should have preferably worked in the travel, tourism or visa industry
– Willingness to relocate to Umm Al Quwain

– UAE driving license preferred.

Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software
Strong knowledge of accounting principles & financial regulations
Excellent analytical & problem-solving abilities
Good communication skills
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
