Job Description:

 

The National Sales Director is responsible for driving sales operations and achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. This role focuses on building strategic business relationships and managing sales functions across all channels. The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional with a proven track record in the Health and Beauty sector, capable of growing brands in an entrepreneurial environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement annual sales plans, policies, and programs.
  • Manage the performance of the sales team and brokerage network.
  • Maximize relationships with key distributors, retailers, and wholesale partners.
  • Develop and manage key accounts, including promotional planning and assortment expansion.
  • Oversee the brokerage teams to achieve distribution, product launches, price increases, and sales objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for incremental growth.
  • Monitor promotional spend and regional expenses to meet budget goals.
  • Ensure accurate compensation for sales reps and manage weekly lead distribution.
  • Educate the sales team on all products and programs.
  • Collaborate with other departments on marketing initiatives and strategic goals.
  • Maintain and implement information technology strategies, including CRM and ERP systems.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a high-growth environment managing multiple brands.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with experience in the Grocery/Natural/Specialty space.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM (Salesforce), and ERP (Netsuite).
  • Experience with sales forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.
  • Ability to analyze market research and vendor data.
  • Established relationships with buyers and a deep understanding of distributor networks and processes.
  • Experience leading and developing a sales team, including multiple broker teams.
