About The Job

 

The Sales Development Representative will play a critical role in the sales process by identifying and qualifying potential leads. Your primary focus will be to generate new business opportunities through a combination of outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up, and you will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure a steady flow of qualified leads to the sales pipeline. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed in sales and works well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Lead Generation:

 

  • Conduct research to identify potential prospects using various tools and platforms as aligned to go-to-market strategies, including identifying key decision-makers and funding opportunities.
  • Deeply understand state- and district-specific challenges and the opportunities to provide Education Elements solutions that meet state and district needs
  • Generate new leads through outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Follow up on inbound leads from marketing campaigns, website inquiries, and other channels.

 

Prospect Qualification:

 

  • Engage with potential customers to understand their needs, challenges, and business objectives.
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to determine their potential as sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of prospect interactions and qualifications in Salesforce.

 

Collaboration and Brand Representation:

 

  • Work closely with the sales team to pass qualified leads and ensure a smooth handoff.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align on campaign messaging and target audiences.
  • Work closely with the Research and Solutions Development team to build deep knowledge of our solutions and continuously finetune your ability to provide immediate responses to customer needs
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team on the quality of leads and the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns, sales projects, and other efforts as needed to achieve team and company goals.

 

Communication:

 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential customers through clear and timely communication and regular follow-up.
  • Represent Education Elements’ brand identity, value proposition, and solution offerings effectively to prospects.
  • Address any initial questions or concerns prospects may have in collaboration with other teams as needed to ensure accurate and timely communication.

 

Reporting and Analysis:

 

  • Track and report on key metrics, including lead generation activities, conversion rates, and pipeline growth.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the lead generation process.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of sales scripts and outreach strategies.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous sales experience and familiarity with K-12 education industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed in sales.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with Salesforce
  • Familiarity with lead generation tools and techniques.
  • Ability to handle rejection and remain positive and resilient.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
