Key Responsibilities

Business

Lead development and implementation of the risk governance for myZoi and support CRO on an ongoing basis on:

  • Management of Ventures risk policy framework
  • Management of relevant fora including Board and acting as Secretariat of the Executive Risk Committee
  • Management of BAU processes for risk identification and reporting
  • Lead operational risk management of myZoi as second line
  • Provide guidance across venture around maintaining highest standards of risk culture
  • Lead the management of core governance activities including liaison with SCV stakeholders
  • Production of necessary management information including the Risk Information Report

Processes

  • Continuously enhance the embedding of Enterprise Risk Framework
  • Manage the OR process, ensuring a strong understanding and discipline of implementation of OR across teams by working closely with First line of Defense
  • Take ownership and ensure that for all Second-Line accountabilities within the Enterprise Risk Framework, are being consistently delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Building Risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training
  • Fully adhere to – and actively contribute to – all agreed governance (e.g. committees) and other routines (regular meetings, attendance at other forums) and preparation of relevant papers for committee
  • Adhere to such other process and governance requirements as requested by CRO from time to time.
  • Dip testing on first line activities/processes

Risk Management and Culture

  • Ensure all activity adheres to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, with a specific focus on ensuring an effective framework for the management of Principal Risk Types within the team as they pertain to the role

Governance

  • Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Deliver ‘effective governance’; capability to challenge colleagues effectively; and willingness to work in an open and cooperative manner with all.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Skills And Experience

  • Strong academic background
  • 10 years of experience in business, governance and risk in financial services – with broad experience across diverse business models within banking and Fintech (payments and operations experience will be added advantage)
  • Strong general experience and expertise within risk management, and experience in digital-related risks (technology risk, ICS Risk, resilience)
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Project management / PMO
  • Creativity and appetite for continuous improvement and ensuring end to end ownership of tasks assigned
