Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Inside Sales Engineer / Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team by managing all Requests for Quotes (RFQs), liaising with suppliers, requesting quotes, creating cost analysis, and submitting detailed information back to the sales team. Additionally, this role involves assisting the sales team in entering information into various portals and designing processes to enhance customer experience. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, organized, and capable of managing end-to-end procurement and purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:

RFQ Management:

  • Sort and prioritize incoming RFQs.
  • Contact suppliers to request quotes and gather necessary information.
  • Create detailed costing analyses based on supplier quotes.

Supplier Liaison:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with suppliers regarding RFQs.

Cost Analysis & Submission:

  • Compile and analyse cost data from suppliers.
  • Prepare comprehensive costing reports for the sales team.
  • Submit all relevant details and documentation back to the sales team for further processing.

Sales Portal Assistance:

  • Assist the sales team in entering RFQ details into the various portals.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all entered information.
  • Provide support and training to the sales team on using the sales portal effectively.

Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to design and optimize processes.
  • Understand customer touchpoints and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategies to make the procurement process seamless and effortless.

Procurement & Purchasing:

  • Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and track procurement metrics to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the sales team to understand their needs and provide timely support.
  • Facilitate procurement initiatives in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to enhance team performance and customer satisfaction.
