Job Summar

Physiotherapists specialize in treating patients of all ages who face physical difficulties due to illness, injury, disability, or aging. They work with diverse groups, including children, the elderly, stroke patients, and those with sports injuries. Their primary role is to identify and enhance patients’ movement and function, promoting overall health and wellbeing. Physiotherapists assist in the rehabilitation process by developing and restoring body systems, particularly the neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems. They create and review treatment programs that include manual therapy, movement, therapeutic exercise, and the use of technological equipment like IDD therapy. Additionally, physiotherapists provide advice on injury prevention.

  • Team Collaboration:Participate as a professional member of a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation

  • ings.Contribute to and participate in educational programs for residents, relatives, and staff.
  • Professional Development:Engage in continuing education and courses to update physiotherapy techniques and information.
  • Equipment and Safety:Ensure physiotherapy equipment is adequately maintained and liaise with the head of the department for ordering supplies and equip
  • ment.Base physiotherapy treatments on sound evidence of ben
  • efit.Record and report all adverse clinical ev
  • ents.Maintain a safe work environment and assist in the implementation of safe work sys
  • tems.Identify and report workplace hazards.
  • Quality Management:Participate in the Quality Management System and commit to continuous improvement activities, including auditing, surveys, and needs analysis.
  • Other Duties:Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Educational Qualifications:

Graduate from an approved college or university in Physiotherapy.

  • Current license in the country of origin and DHA license to practice in Dubai,

U.A.E.Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Physical Medicine.

  • Sports Medicine expertise and experience is preferred.

Language Skills:

  • Excellent command of oral and written English.Arabic language skills are advantageous/desirable but not essential.

Professional Skills:

Ability to work collaboratively in a group practice and as a team member in a hospital setting.

  • Knowledge of the range and type of services available for aged/disabled persons.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to review procedures and implement new models of service delivery to meet client and organizational requirements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality outcomes and ability to consult with staff regarding continuous improvement.

Technical Skills:

  • Sound computer skills,
  • including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
