Summary:

We are looking to add a high potential, career oriented People & Talent Associate to join our team! This role will be responsible for coordinating and executing various HR processes at a high level that enable the company to recruit, onboard, develop and retain our high performing team based in New York City. Our hope is that this person will quickly rise by demonstrating the ability to produce high quality work product and problem solve in areas of ambiguity. Our ideal team member will possess a strong work ethic, learn new material fast, possess a high amount of emotional intelligence, and be intellectually curious about how a Human Resources function enables strong business performance. This opportunity is ideal for someone who seeks to build a meaningful career in the HR/People space by working alongside a collaborative and dynamic team, while also getting broad exposure to the inner workings of an e-commerce, DTC business.

What you will do:

 

  • Recruiting and Talent Acquisition: Work with the PTR Manager, hiring managers, and candidates to move the hiring process forward effectively. This will include: scheduling interviews, maintaining job postings, pro-actively sourcing candidates, managing the onsite candidate experience, learning how to effectively interview and assess candidates, and eventually screening and making recommendations on hiring decisions.
  • People Operations: Administer on-boarding and offboarding processes in an accurate manner, such as: pre-employment tasks, communications, and IT/systems coordination.
  • Talent Development & Employee Experience : Over time, help the team research, propose, design, and administer various programs, which may include: training sessions, recognition initiatives, performance reviews, perks, benefits, and team culture initiatives. This will be based on performance in previous areas over time, as well as one’s interests and skills.

What you should have:

  • 2+ years of work experience in a recruiting, HR or people focused position, where you demonstrated grit and effectively managed dynamism.
  • Intellectual interest in Human Resources and the desire to become PHR certified within 2 years
  • Experience working in a recruiting function is a plus; with an aspiration to develop a true HR generalist skill set over time
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through; ability to perform tasks with high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Maturity and professionalism; demonstrates good judgment that engenders respect and trust from others
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to positively represent a company brand
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • High degree of flexibility in a demanding, fast-paced and frequently changing environment
  • Ability to problem solve and take initiative to overcome obstacles
