What you’ll do:
Payroll Management:
Business analysis of current payroll process, new process description, approval and implementation
Process and manage payrolls for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
Set up payroll policies and procedures
Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data.
Ensure compliance with federal and local payroll, wage (WPS) and best practices.
Prepare and submit all necessary payroll-related reports and documentation.
Address and resolve employee inquiries and issues related to payroll.
Manage accounting-related software and tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning properly.
Collaborate with HR, Accounting and Finance to ensure accurate employee data and financial reporting.
KPI Management:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive KPI tracking system.
Collect, analyze, and report on key performance indicators across various departments.
Work with department heads to identify and implement improvements based on KPI analysis.
Prepare regular KPI reports and presentations for senior management.
Monitor trends and identify areas for improvement to support strategic planning.
Provide insights and recommendations to drive organizational performance and efficiency.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations and standards.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing required payroll information and reports.
Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor payroll staff, providing training and development opportunities.
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
Professional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in payroll management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (complex formulas).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of local payroll laws and regulations.
Experience with KPI tracking and analysis is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
