Nurse  Healthcare Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support healthcare professionals under the guidance of qualified nursing staff. This role involves assisting patients with personal care, performing clinical duties, and conducting, monitoring, and recording medical test results for analysis by healthcare professionals.

To excel in this position, you should have a compassionate and nurturing demeanor. Additionally, you should be able to manage physically demanding tasks, including aiding patient mobility, turning patients, and lifting heavy medical equipment.

Nurse  Healthcare Assistant Responsibilities

– Ensuring that medical supplies and equipment are regularly replenished.
– Enhancing patient mobility and assisting with movement.
– Setting up equipment needed by healthcare professionals.
– Measuring and recording patients’ temperature, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels.
– Monitoring and recording patients’ pulse rates.
– Measuring and documenting patients’ weight.
– Preparing patients for therapy sessions.
– Making beds, distributing bedpans, and collecting used bedpans.

Nurse  Healthcare Assistant Requirements

– NVQ qualification in Health and Social Care.
– Successful completion of a medical check.
– Clear background check.
– Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred.
– Medical experience is beneficial but not required.
– A commitment to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
– Strong communication and listening skills.
– Physically capable of lifting patients.
– A tactful, approachable, and empathetic personality.
