Network Administrator Jobs in Dubai

So now you are looking for a Network Administrator position in Dubai, huh? Good decision. The UAE is one of the hot spots for techies right now. Companies aretrying to find people who actually know HOW to prevent the network from crashing every time somebody walks too close to the server rack. It doesnt matter if you are a recent alternate grad, or whether you have 25 years of switching/router experience—there will be a suitable position out there for you. If you have the knowhow (network infrastructure knowledge, security stuff, troubleshooting if it all goes wrong), now is a good time to act. Honestly, what are you waiting for? Get involved before its too late.

Network Administrator – What’s the Job, Really?

So let me say this: network admin is the unsung role in IT. You are building, tuning, and caring for the company networks. You will have one job, keep the networks running smoothly and save. When a weird hiccup happens, it is your responsibility to keep an eye on the network, respond to odd hiccups, and come up with a fix before your supervisor starts shouting about downtime. You can expect to handle firewalls with encryption, and lots of cybersecurity mechanisms. In short, if everything is working, it is good, but if the networks are struggling, it is on you.

Who Actually Gets Hired?

Be realistic, many of them prefer at least a bachelors in computer science or something close. If you have a CCNA or MCSE, thats even better! Just by being able to speak their language about network protocols, administration tools, etc. puts you way ahead. You really have to think on your feet, problem solve, and talk to people like humans easily without coming off as a robot. If you have experience or knowledge of gcloud or virtualization, that helps! Also helps if you have Python or PowerShell scripting experience too. If you speak Arabic, even better in Dubai.

So, How Do You Apply?

Easy: peruse through the job ads (there are lots!). Examine what each company is looking for don’t apply if you don’t align. Clean up your CV. Seriously, clean it up. Include your degrees, certifications, and the time that you saved the company from catastrophe at 2 a.m. After you finish cleaning up your CV, follow the instructions for applying, usually, you just email your CV to the email in the ad. If your CV in the resume review gets called you have interviews in front of you or potentially you will take a test to show you actually know what you know and claim in your CV. Good luck! And, remember, dont forget to boast a little. You deserve it!
