As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will play a vital role in converting voice recordings from physicians and healthcare professionals into written reports. Your responsibilities will include transcribing, editing, and formatting medical documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Listen to recorded dictation from healthcare professionals.
• Utilize specialized transcription equipment for accurate documentation.
• Edit and correct medical dictation generated by speech recognition software.
• Convert diagnostic test results, procedures, and consultation notes into appropriate report formats.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to legal requirements.
• Submit transcriptions to healthcare professionals for approval promptly.
• Perform additional tasks such as revising patient history and entering medical reports into electronic health records systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a medical field.
• Training in Medical Transcription.
• Certification as a Healthcare Documentation Specialist preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or similar role.
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Record systems.
• Typing speed of at least 65 words per minute.
• Experience with specialized transcription equipment and voice recognition software.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and editing practices.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and patient care.
• Excellent written communication skills and understanding of medical record formats.
