Summary

 

The Business Analyst I Junior Office of General Counsel shall provide the Securities and Exchange Commission Office of the General Counsel with training and development support related to MS 365 and other technical services.

Responsibilities


  • Work with OGC technical staff to track, address, and resolve user technical support issues.
  • Analyze data in existing tracking systems for access and quality control purposes for management review. Perform updates as needed.
  • Review and produce various periodic reports from the tracking and reporting systems for management review.
  • With appropriate guidance from staff, Draft internal policy and procedure documents focused on delivering technical support services.
  • With appropriate guidance from staff, Draft office-wide messages on topics related to changes in technology and/or business processes.
  • With appropriate guidance from staff, create training guides and provide technical training for staff topics such as on M365 applications, including SharePoint Online Teams and OneDrive. For example, show users how to copy/move files from the C: drive to the network storage drive and OneDrive (cloud storage).
  • Assist the staff in organizing records and electronic data in preparation for transfer, archiving, or deletion.
  • Produce quality work and effectively manage priorities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant technical experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of training/development and writing experience
  • Ability to provide a favorable credit history.

 

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

 

  • Experience training staff in MS 365 SharePoint Online, MS Teams, and OneDrive is Preferred.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS 365 applications, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to create informative step-by-step how-to guides using the Snip & Sketch tool or a similar tool and train users (as a group or one-on-one) based on the guides created.
  • Proficiency in assisting others who are new or less familiar with troubleshooting technical issues and addressing questions.
  • Ability to learn new technical functions and features and convert knowledge into training.
  • Possess strong organization and collaboration skills, attention to detail, customer service orientation, and desire to mentor others at all levels.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in creating presentations and customizing slides using PowerPoint.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, proofreading, and editing various correspondence, policies, and documents using MS Word.
