ROLE SUMMARY:

 

Maximize the potential of the AstraZeneca Hematology portfolio across GCC, through professional and successful strategy for the portfolio building relationship with internal and external customers. Manage the promotion, pricing, and positioning of the products in the relevant therapeutic portfolio, development of a disease area vision and strategy, effective resource allocation, to optimise sales and profits. Strategize, write, and implement the marketing plan in relation to the brand.

Role is reporting to GCC Hematology Franchise Head.

The position will be in Gulf or KSA with travel requirement across the GCC.

 

What you’ll do:

 

Operational Brand Management & Customer Excellence:

 

  • Fully accountable for building & driving the brand strategy aligned with global strategy and local market dynamics.
  • Participate in the development of the Business Action Plan in close collaboration with the Franchise Head.
  • Drives the full implementation of the operational Business Action Plan in close collaboration with the key functional team members.
  • Keeps the Business Action Plan updated, implement the plan to ensure that Brand objectives are realized, including revising the Segmentation & Targeting to ensure full coverage /expansion of target list as per marketing strategy.
  • Leads the development and execution of the strategic and operational plan (campaign task force, monthly implementation meetings).
  • Identify potential new market insight and collaborate with Market Intelligence to leverage all important market data to refine action plans or to prioritize activities.
  • Develop and understand market research principles/sources/tools/methodology.
  • Work with local data to contribute to forecasting models.
  • Manage resources & portfolio P&L.

Communication & Promotion:

 

  • Leverage guidelines from global brand team and brief campaign task force accordingly to ensure respect of international guidelines.
  • Actively contribute in collaboration with the medical team and Sales team to ensure alignment with strategy the following activities as required: Advisory boards, round tables or other expert meetings, National symposia/ WebEx/ Webcast/ Virtual summit, Launch meetings.
  • Be actively involved in the organization of regional and national sales meetings/business reviews as required.
  • Propose Budget spend on the defined territory & is responsible for accurate budget management.

 

Stakeholders’ management:

 

  • Build relationships with key internal / external stakeholders.
  • Leads Brand Team, developing and implementing plans for KEE development & marketing strategy implementation.
  • Report on the status of implementation of the tactical plan to internal customers.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Proactive assessment of brand performance, proposing needed actions to tap on opportunities, working without supervision, successfully addressing outstanding challenges of marketing strategy implementation.

Corporate responsibility:

 

  • Maintains highest ethical standards and work in a spirit of AstraZeneca Code of Ethics, following rules & norms set by corporate policies.
  • Ensures that all conducted activities are done in accordance with local legislation and corporate standards.
  • Timely reports (as per respective procedures): health/environment/wellbeing related accidents; adverse events that you became aware about; change in status of your Conflict of Interest.

Essential for the role

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., business or science/Pharma).
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Previous Haematology Therapy Area experience is a must.
  • For AZ internal applicants, at least one year in the most recent position.
  • For AZ internal applicants, relocation is offered.
  • Strong performance track record.
  • Ability to develop and implement annual brand plans and various projects.
  • Proven competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, strong presentation skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal and projects management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyse data to formulate marketing plans.
  • Customer Orientation – making efforts to listen to and understand the customer (both internal and external); anticipating customer needs; giving high priority to customer satisfaction.
  • Professional and Business Awareness – demonstrates knowledge of the company, customers, products, and the pharmaceutical industry; maintains current knowledge of new trends and developments in one’s profession.
  • Effectiveness and Productivity – ability to maximize the use of resources and produce results.
  • Stakeholders’ management to reach solutions and collaborates effectively with internal teams.

 

Desirable for the role

 

  • +3 years Brand Management experience is preferred.
  • GCC Experience is preferred.
  • Successful Launching Experience is preferred.
  • Omnichannel Communication Experience is preferred.
