About Dubai Metro

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is accountable for the operation and management of Dubai Metro, regarded as one of the most sophisticated metro systems internationally. In 2009, Serco launched the Dubai Metro, the Arabian Peninsula’s first urban rail transit network and the world’s longest fully automated, driverless train system. Serco undertakes full operational and maintenance, as well as integrated facilities management, for the automated Dubai Metro rail network and the operations control centers, achieving 99.9% train service availability and 99.9% train punctuality on the Dubai Metro. Route 2020 is a 15-kilometer extension of the Red Line and has 7 stations.
