Looking Data Protection Officer with the following terms & conditions.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required skills and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or an equivalent discipline.
• Ten years minimally of experience with data governance, data privacy, data compliance, or information security (within the financial services sector or a regulated industry preferred).
• Familiarity with and relevant experience with data governance approaches and frameworks, and some experience with developing and implementing data governance frameworks.
• Regular contact with regulators and their associated compliance-related activities.
• Experience managing cross-functional working groups (Compliance, Risk, IT, Security, and Operations) on data privacy-related activity.
• Experience with data breaches, incidents and regulatory reporting.
• Knowledge of training and awareness programs regarding data privacy and governance.
• Calm the experience to work with third-party organizations to support compliance with data handling obligations.
• Prior experience conducting audits and external reviews for data protection and information security.
• Strong knowledge of and awareness of data privacy obligation and compliance.
• Ability to develop and implement complex data protection plans.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills and ability to inform executive decisions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with adequate insight in identifying potential risk and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to manage a team of security professionals and work cross-functionally with IT, legal, and compliance teams.
• Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, including Qatar Central Bank (QCB) requirements,
• Qatar Data Privacy Law, and international standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701).
• Proficiency in data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, ISO 15489, ISO/IEC 11179).
• Expertise in data classification, cataloguing, mapping, and stewardship practices.
• Solid understanding of information security controls, encryption standards, and secure data transfer methods.
• Experience in conducting Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA).
• Familiarity with risk management practices (ISO 31000, NIST CSF) as they apply to data protection.
• Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery, and backup requirements.
