Computer Operator Job Description 

We are seeking a skilled computer operator to oversee and manage our computer systems. In this role, you will handle the operation and maintenance of our systems, collaborate with the IT team, perform routine maintenance tasks, and manage equipment inventories.

Computer Operator Responsibilities:

– Set up computers and other hardware devices.
– Collaborate with the IT team to plan and schedule operations.
– Initiate operations by entering appropriate computer commands.
– Monitor for error and stoppage messages.
– Resolve errors, load paper, and adjust equipment settings as needed.
– Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and software issues.
– Address user requests and resolve problems.
– Perform preventative maintenance on systems and equipment.
– Manage and maintain inventory of supplies.
– Ensure the security of the company’s computer systems.

Computer Operator Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
– Proven experience as a computer operator.
– Advanced understanding of computer electronics, including circuit boards, chips, processors, and peripheral equipment.
– Excellent problem-solving skills.
– Familiarity with modern operating systems, enterprise software, networking, and office applications.
– Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
– Strong interpersonal skills.
– Ability to perform well under high-pressure situations.
