Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Career Guidance Counselor to join our team in compliance with the requirements set by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). The ideal candidate will play a vital role in guiding students towards informed career decisions, aligning their academic pathways with their future goals, and equipping them with skills for the modern workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide career counseling and support to students to identify their interests, abilities, and aspirations.
– Develop and implement a comprehensive career guidance program that aligns with ADEK standards.
– Facilitate career awareness sessions, workshops, and seminars for students, parents, and teachers.
– Assist students in selecting appropriate subjects and higher education pathways based on career interests.
– Guide students in creating effective resumes, personal statements, and applications for universities and job opportunities.
– Organize career fairs, industry visits, and networking events to expose students to various career options.
– Stay updated with labor market trends, higher education opportunities, and scholarship programs in the UAE and abroad.
– Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external stakeholders to create tailored career plans for students.
– Maintain accurate records of student interactions and career development plans.
– Ensure all activities and programs adhere to ADEK policies and guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

– Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Career Counseling, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
– ADEK approval or eligibility as a Career Guidance Counselor.
– Proven experience in career counseling or a related role, preferably within a school setting.
