Technician – Polishing Job Description

Execute paint polishing work according to the manufacturer’s standards and the work instructions manual.
F1: Fix it Right First Time.
Complete jobs within the allotted time.
Provide feedback on additional repair needs to the Team Leader, Foreman, and Controller.
Notify the Team Leader or Foreman in advance of any potential delays in work.
Be prepared to work overtime as needed when workshop demand increases, per the Team Leader, Foreman, or Controller’s request.
Record all materials used on the job card.
Handle customer vehicles safely and responsibly.
Document paint materials drawn on the job card.
Seek approval from the Team Leader or Foreman for any additional repairs.
Use protective covers for customer vehicles.
Maintain cleanliness in the work area.
Wear protective masks during paint repairs.
Ensure that materials recorded on job cards are utilized for the corresponding vehicle.

Qualifications & Experience:

Trade Skill Certification/Matriculation or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a dealership, with at least 2 years specifically as a Paint Polisher.
Physically fit to perform repair tasks.
