Here’s the rundown on what they’re hunting

Right now (and don’t even think about faking your credentials—they’ll know):

1) HSE Officer – Got 3 to 5 years under your belt? Perfect.
2) QA/QC Engineer – Same deal, 3 to 5 years.
3) Civil Site Inspector – 8 to 10 years. Not your first rodeo.
4) MEP Inspector – Again, 8 to 10 years. Bring your A-game.
5) QS – Civil – You guessed it, 8 to 10 years.
6) Document Controller – Just started out? You’ll need at least a year, but must’ve touched a building project.
7) Site Architect – Don’t bother unless you’ve stacked up 8 years.
8) Electrical Inspector – Bare minimum 7 years.
9) Resident Engineer – Arabic speakers only, with 7 to 10 years (and at least 5 of those in the UAE).
10) Civil Inspector – Any nationality, 5 to 10 years, but 6 years UAE work is non-negotiable.
11) Mechanical Inspector – Same as above, 5 to 10 years (6 UAE).
12) Construction Manager / Senior Resident Engineer – 15+ years. Basically, you’re a legend.
13) Civil Engineer – 8+ years.
14) Electrical Engineer (IT Telecom) – 12+ years. Serious stuff.
15) Mechanical Engineer (MEP) – 8+ years.
16) Civil QA Inspector – 12+ years.
17) Electrical QA Inspector – 12+ years.

Oh, and if you’ve never worked

A warehouse project in the UAE, don’t bother applying for those last few. That’s a hard requirement.

– Both need that consultancy + UAE combo. Like I said, they’re strict.
