Backend Engineer Description

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power our applications and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and robust backend systems and services.
• Develop and maintain server-side logic, database structures, and APIs.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize application performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to backend systems.
• Ensure data security and integrity through effective design and implementation.
• Write and maintain clear, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for software development.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve backend processes and systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in server-side languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, or PHP.
• Experience with database systems such as SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Experience with cloud services and deployment strategies is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
