The CSSD Technician maintains adequate supply of all materials and equipment for use by hospital staff and provides supportive services to the Hospital through processing, cleaning, sterilizing of all necessary instruments sets, linen packs and all sterile stock for Operating Theatre Complex (OT), Nursing Units and other Departments.

Job Requirements:
- Certificate in CSSD with minimum 2 years’ experience as CSSD technician
- Diploma in Sterilization Technology/CBSPD/IAHCSMM certification.
- BLS certificate
- 2 years CSSD technician experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Actively participates in upholding and promoting the vision and culture of University Hospital Sharjah (UHS)
- Work in all areas of the CSSD performing the designated duties within the assigned area.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and sterility through proper cleaning packaging and autoclaving of items.
- Checks and tests equipment & surgical instruments to assure that they function properly.
- Load the items for sterilization into the sterilizer using the correct setting temperature and exposure time for the selected loads.
